Bar Sadi Dakar

Bar Sadi Dakar is a stylish new establishment in Imaizumi run by Sadi from Senegal and Kyoko from Japan. The interior design concept is billed as “cool Africa” and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The artwork of Senegalese artist Amadou Tounkara features prominently while the background playlist showcases a wide variety of renowned African talent, lending the space a uniquely cosmopolitan vibe. In addition to an extensive drinks selection – including baobab fruit juice cocktails, Kenyan beer, and bio wines from South Africa and France – a delicious food menu is also available. Most of the eleven dishes are Senegalese in origin and made by Sadi himself. Thieboudienne, a paella of tomato and fish, and Yassa Poulet, mustard-flavored chicken stewed with olive, are two of our favorites. In another stylish touch, multiple iPads display the menu, including full dish information, and, to top things off, there is no cover charge. So, why not settle in around the counter and feel the real, new Africa? Both groups and single customers are sure to enjoy a cozy night.
