Bills (Australia) to Open in Suijo Park Fukuoka

Under the umbrella of the Tenjin Big Bang Project, Nishi-nippon Railroad Co. is building a new two-story leisure facility in Suijo Park that is slated to open in July 2016. The first floor of the facility will be occupied by Bills, a casual eatery originally from Australia whose scrambled eggs were called “the world’s best breakfast” by the New York Times. The shop will be Bills’ sixth in Japan and its first in western Japan. The second floor will be occupied by Noodle & Chinois, a popular Chinese restaurant located in Susakimachi which was listed in the 2014 Michelin Guide for Fukuoka & Saga. It is famous for its Chinese fusion that centers primarily on Hong Kong cuisine. Given the park’s location next to a river, renovations aim to evoke images of water based on the motto of ‘Sailing Park’; there will also be an event space and stage.
