Sister cities Bordeaux, France and Fukuoka have published a joint declaration to open a Bordeaux wine bar in Fukuoka. The wine bar will offer wine made in Bordeaux and is officially approved by the CIVB (Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bordeaux), making it the first of its kind in Japan, and making Fukuoka the third city in the world to host such a bar (after New York and Shanghai). The wine bar will open in March 2016, and will be established and managed by Louis Robuchon, son of master chef Joël Robuchon, in collaboration with Japanese wine sommeliers. Nishinippon Shimbun 11/3
