In anticipation of this year’s Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival, the Fukuoka Open Top Bus is operating a special free Yamakasa route on July 13. Hop on the sightseeing bus in front of Fukuoka Central Post Office in Tenjin and take a one-hour tour passing by decorative kazariyama floats, which are displayed around the city for Yamakasa. Bus departs 10:30am 11:00am. Passengers can ride the limited route for free, providing they show up in a yukata. Apply by postcard or email by July 6.
