With over 770 years history, Yamakasa is Fukuoka’s most beloved yearly festival. The climax begins at 4:59 on July 15 when thousands of loincloth-clad men race through the streets carrying heavy floats. From 7/1 you can view the decorative floats at Kushida Shrine. Oisa-oisa!
