This special live jazz event is held at the unique farmhouse venue of “SHIKIORI” in Miyawaka City, Fukuoka. Now a live music venue, this traditional Japanese house (or kominka) is owned by bass player and event organizer Seigo Matsunaga. Popular South African Jazz pianist Kyle Shepherd will perform in a trio with Matsunaga and Sebastian Kaptein, and the entire performance will be recorded and sold on CD in Japan, South Africa and Europe. Sounds of frogs, crickets and the wind will be recorded along with the performance, so that listeners can experience the atmosphere of this unique performance. Relax into the smooth sounds of jazz from Japan and abroad, surrounded by rice fields and the beautiful countryside atmosphere.
