Witness a unique traditional event “Kukai Gekijo” at Tochoji Temple! From May 12 until the beginning of June, there will be festivities at the temple. Enjoy an evening performance by a singer and a calligrapher, with illumination at the Tochoji Temple Hondo, from 18:00~ on May 12 (Sat.). From May 12~20, there’s also a Hakata-ori and Kurume-gasuri textile exhibition at the Daibutsuden, Tochoji Temple.
TEA CEREMONY AT TOCHOJI (6/2)
Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony at the famous Tochoji temple, as part of the Kukai Gekijo festival. The tea ceremony will be hosted by radio DJ TOGGY and instruction will be given by Sokyo Shimura- a professor of Urasenke. The ceremony runs from 13:00~15:00, and all participants receive an original tea cup memento.
