(English) The fifth annual K-Tora Fever event takes place on the grounds Ohana restaurant in Nogita, Itoshima. K-tora stands for “Kei truck” – a Japanese mini truck that’s tiny but practical. Drinks, local foods, plants and goods are on display and sold out of the backs of Kei trucks. From 2013, this international flea market will be held twice a year – in Spring and Autumn (in the past it was just Autumn)! The approach to the Sumiyoshi Shrine will be lined with unique stalls selling homewares, accessories, clothes and more. As you wander the markets, indulge in some tasty international treats at the food court, including booths by many of Fukuoka’s most popular international restaurants. If it’s a drink you’re after, stop at the world beer corner and sample various labels of beer from all over the world. The Spring event will be “yoichi” meaning the stalls will stay open until night.

(English) Following last year’s success, this local gourmet event expands to two locations on Watanabe-dori for 2013! Drink, eat, dance and enjoy the festival atmosphere on Sunday May 12. (English) Kyushu University Muslim Student Association will hold the fifth annual Islamic Week & Food Festival at the Itoshima and Hakozaki campuses of Kyushu University, from Apr. 15~20. The event aims to introduce Japanese people to Islam and its culture. Try some delicious Halal cuisine, or see the many attractions, including a Masjid corner, Islamic dress, Islamic calligraphy display, and short quiz.
