東日本大震災のドキュメンタリー映画「きょうを守る」の上映イベント。岩手県陸前高田出身の大学生が、故郷で被災した家族や仲間たちと話し、悲しみや戸惑い、復興への思いなど生の声を綴っている。被災者の目線が反響を呼び、昨年の夏、アメリカ各地の大学でも上映された話題作。身近なもの、大切なものについて改めて考えさせられる感慨深い作品だ。

フランコフォニー祭は、フランス語やフランス語圏の文化の多様性を紹介し、世界中のフランス語を話す人々の連帯と共生を祝うお祭りです。フランコフォニー祭りの一環で開催されるイベント。ヴァレー州名産の大型のハードチーズ「ラクレット」を溶かし、トロトロのチーズを皿にのせ、茹でたジャガイモにからめて食べる料理。ラクレットという名前も、削りとるという意味のフランス語の動詞“ラクレ”に由来しています。
