Yuichi Asaba, owner of Shitamachi-ya “Japanese Pancake” shop in Hakata-ku, began by replacing labels on bottled juice in his restaurant so children could enjoy a Kampai with the older folk. Now his “Kodomo Beer” (Childrens’ Beer) is selling like hotcakes around the country. And it’s not just for kids! It’s perfect for designated drivers too.
