KuruKuru is the adorable name for the convenient new bike rental system which launched on the 6/27 in Kurume. The six cycle ports throughout the city hold a total of 46 bikes, which are available 24 hours a day. Cyclists can rent the bike from one port and drop it off at the port nearest their destination, paying ¥100 per half hour. You’ll need your credit card or chip card to register, and then you can use your credit card or cash to pay whenever you fancy an adventure on two wheels (or a more environmentally-friendly way to pop to the shops).
