Fukuoka Prefecture has decided on five roads to be used by 15,000 Itoshima City residents to escape the city should a nuclear disaster occur at the Genkai Power Plant. Itoshima is within a 30km radius of the plant. The designated roads are; National Route 202 and the 202 bypass, Prefectural Routes 49 and 506/85, and the Futamahamatama Road/Fukuoka Maebaru Road.
