Kirin To Make Kyushu Veggie Juice, Help Nagasaki’s Unesco Bid

Kirin Beverage Kyushu has announced it will begin nationwide sales of a juice made solely from Kyushu and Okinawa fruits and vegetables sometime this July. The new product is expected to be 100% fruit and vegetable juice, based primarily on carrots. The company is also considering adding Hyuganatsu, a citrus fruit grown in Miyazaki, and nanohana (rapeweed) made in Fukuoka. Meanwhile, Kirin Beer Marketing Kyushu will begin selling 350ml limited edition cans of Ichiban Shibori beer aimed at promoting the World Heritage bid for Churches and Christian Sites in Nagasaki. One yen from each can sold will be donated to a non-profit organization to help the cause. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun 1/27
