Land Ministry Releases Fukuoka Land Prices

According to the land prices released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on Mar. 18, commercial land prices remained the same or fell throughout the national. In Kyushu as well, average commercial land prices remained unchanged, marking the first time they have not fallen in seven years. Meanwhile average residential land prices increased 0.1%, the first uptick in 23 years. According to the ministry, continued low interest rates under Abenomics appears to be driving real estate investment in urban areas, but land prices fell in many regional areas. Meanwhile in Fukuoka, the highest priced commercial land was the Tenjin Core building, clocking in at ¥6.23 million/m2 (+5.2% year-on-year).
