A special ‘onki’ zazen camp will be held over March ~ May in four different locations around Kyushu (Nagasaki City, Imari, Kurume and Oita), and all around Japan. Onki is a buddhist ceremony that’s only celebrated every 50 years, in memory of Rinzai and Hakuin, the two most influential monks in Japanese zen buddhism. The camp welcomes anyone to experience the life of a monk, eating shakuza (monk’s breakfast) in the morning and practicing zazen throughout the day. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime event!
