Saibu Gas To Open H2 Station In 2016

Saibu Gas has formally announced that it will build its first hydrogen filling station in Higashihama (Higashi Ward). Targeting fuel cell vehicles, which will go on sale later this year, the company aims to bring the new facility online by March 2016. Scheduled to be built on the site of Saibu Gas’s former Fukukita Plant, it will be Kyushu’s first hydrogen filling station that includes hydrogen production facilities. The station will be able to fill up five to six fuel cell vehicles per hour. The station will cost approximately 600 million to build, but national government subsidies will cover half that cost.
