A team of researchers from the Nagasaki Board of Education and the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum has announced the discovery of two fossilized Tyrannosaurus teeth from Jurassic era (about 81 million years ago) strata in Nagasaki. The size and thickness of the teeth fossils suggest that the dinosaur was about 10 m in length, which would make it one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs to have ever roamed Japan. The fossils were unearthed last May from a site on the western side of the Nagasaki Peninsula. Thus far, around 120 fossils have been found in the same area, including fossils from other large meat-eating dinosaurs and flying dinosaurs. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun 7/15
