On Dec. 11 Tomoaki Ogura from Fuji TV Tokadane Times and TV personality Mariko Shinoda (originally from Itoshima) flew in from Tokyo to participate in a special press event for the upcoming “Ovo”, the Cirque Du Soleil production which will open in Fukuoka on Feb. 20. Ovo, (egg in Portuguese) has already played to over 900,000 people in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka in Japan alone, and enjoyed by even more around the world. Interestingly, one of the main characters “the Foreigner” is played by Hironori Taniguchi. He is the first Japanese to land the role of a star clown in Cirque Du Soleil’s history. Don’t miss him and all the other talented performers at Fukuoka Big Top tent in Hakozaki this February.
