Live Healthy, Earn Points and Win Prizes from Fukuoka City

Fukuoka City’s Health Promotion Section is set to launch a new “Fukuoka Kenko Mileage Program” this August. The program aims to promote healthy living among citizens and reduce the city’s spending on health services. They are aiming for 1,000 participants aged twenty years and older. In the program, participants set a personal health goal, such as “to eat vegetables every day,” or “to quit smoking.” They gain points according to their achievements. 20~50 points can also be gained by attending health events and taking City-organized medical check-ups. Participants who rack up 150 points or more by February 2015 will be rewarded with a ¥500 voucher to be used at various cafes and shops in Fukuoka City. Travel coupons and sporting goods are also up for grabs! Apply to take part and start earning some health points! Application deadline: Jul. 23 (Wed) end of day.
