Shiraito Falls, a scenic spot in Itoshima, attracts many visitors in the summer seeking natural coolness. Every June, a waterfall opening ceremony is held to pray for summer safety. The event includes safety prayers by a priest, stage performances, and a mochi-throwing event. Nearby facilities offer flowing somen noodles for visitors to enjoy. From late June to early July, around 5,000 hydrangea plants bloom around the falls, delighting the eyes of those who visit.
