The intersection in the middle of Tenjin where Watanabe-dori Ave. meets the small street that runs past the Central Police Station will soon become a scramble intersection. Diagonal crossing is currently prohibited at the intersection, but the number of illegal diagonal crossers stands out, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours. If you look down on the intersection from one of the nearby department stores, you can already see black outlines of the diagonal crosswalks, which will be painted in white at the end of September.
