On Mar. 5 Tokyo-based retailer Muji reopened its revamped Canal City shop. The newly renovated shop includes a 30,000-volume-strong Muji Books section and Open Muji, a space for workshops and other events. With this renewal,Muji will kicks off an eight-part lecture series on living space design in Open Muji starting in March. Lectures will be held monthly. The Canal City Muji originally opened as the flagship shop for Kyushu in April 1996. Also a new Muji shop was opened on Tenjin’s Nishi-dori on the same day.
