Three teachers at the Nakamura Gakuen University Junior College in Jonan Ward, Fukuoka City, have published an English-language cookbook of local Fukuoka recipes called Enjoy Fukuoka Cuisine in English. English teacher Akiko Tsuda said she hoped it would create conversational opportunities between foreigners and local residents at the city’s markets where regional foods are sold. The book features recipes for 30 local dishes classified by season.
