A group in Kagoshima Prefecture for promoting health by hot springs visits, whose members include the prefectural government, the city of Ibusuki, local hotels, and Kagoshima University, will launch a new PR campaign from September 20 to February 7 in which visitors to 10 local hotels and ryokan can monitor their stress levels free of charge. Those visitors staying at least two nights will be able to use small heart monitors attached to their chest to measure their rate of relaxation. The group hopes this will create a new type of business for the area.
