Fukuoka-based Royal Holdings announced that the new Boat House in Ohori Park will open on Feb. 6. The first floor of the new two-story building will house Kyushu’s first Pinkberry, a U.S.-based frozen yogurt store that Royal Holdings has Japanese franchise rights to. Hananoki, the long-standing French restaurant from the old Boat House, will occupy the second floor of the new building. One section of the famous eatery will be designed to look like it did when Marilyn Monroe visited in 1954. Both floors will have large windows facing the pond.
